AL500 is a large-gap absolute magnetic encoder for applications where mounting clearance and machine geometry shape the design. Pair it with an MS500 magnetic scale for straight travel or circular magnetic levitation lines.

The sensing distance is under 1.6 mm, with 1.2 mm recommended. This generous mounting clearance helps simplify alignment when installing an absolute magnetic encoder and scale.
For circular magnetic levitation lines
Configure the magnetic scale for ring-shaped transfer layouts as well as straight linear axes, enabling absolute position feedback along circular production routes.

True absolute measurement supports fast position recovery after power-up for automated transfer and positioning systems.

Measure at speeds up to 5 m/s, with a maximum traverse speed of 5 m/s.
